Our Mission
We exist to bring the love of Christ to underserved and under-resourced communities by partnering with local leaders who are already serving on the ground. Together, we help care for children, widows, lepers and the most vulnerable, meet practical needs such as food, shelter, education, and medical care and share the good news of Jesus through evangelism and church planting--raising up leaders who will transform their communities for generations to come.
Our Dream
We dream for 1,000 partners to join us in giving $1000/year. That's approximately $2.75/day to fuel a movement of hope--where essential needs are met, leaders are raised, and entire communities are transformed by the love of Christ. Through faithful giving, we can sustain long-term impact in places that need it most and empower a new generation to reshape their world.

Where We Serve

1
Mityana, Uganda
Dorea has partnered with Raising Hope & Mending Hearts ministry in Mityana by providing funds to build an orphange, dig a well, create a water harvesting system and holding tanks, provide food, farming supplies, help with transportation, and other essential needs to raise these young people up in the Lord.
Assisting Church Planters
Dorea partners with church planters in India to share Christ's love with unreached communities--feeding the poor, caring for families affected by leprosy, and empowering women by helping them start small businesses.

Ensuring Education
In impoverished countries, children are over-joyed to be able to receive an education. Educational support helps us equip the next generation with essential skills and knowledge, paving the way for a brighter future filled with opportunities. In these photos, you see children have received their school supplies through the generous donors.

Meeting Essential Needs
We provide tangible assistance to those in need, ensuring access to vital resources and support systems that enhance the quality of life. Through Dorea's donations, this orphanage home was built in Mityana and a well was dug which provides fresh, clean water at the orphanage. Here the water is being shared with other children who walked miles looking for water.

Phase 1 of the orphanage
was completed in 2025.
This has 5 sleeping rooms and a separate kitchen.
Phase 2 will be a building
across from this one with 4 sleeping rooms.
In the fall of 2025, a wall was built around the orphanage and a gate installed for greater safety.

1. Driveway to Orphanage: $3000.00
Currently there is not a roadway to the orphanage gate. It will take approximately $3000.00
2. 4-Wheel-drive passenger van: $15,000
Currently the only means of transportation at the Ugandan orphanage is a motorcyle on which all food must be transported and the children are taken to and from their schools on the motorcyle through all types of weather.
The cost for a van is approximately $15,000.00
3 . Adjacent land: $5000.00
An adjacent lot to the orphanage which is the same size as the orphanage is on (50 x 100) is available which could be used for future expansion, to raise poultry, or do other projects.

How We Began
Dorea Ministries International, Inc. was founded by Tom and Lisa Foster who met in 1985 at Fort Wayne Bible College and married in 1988. Since then, they have raised their seven children, watched their family grow, did lots of ministry, built their businesses, and weathered many storms in life. In 2019, what started as just a small monthly gift to help the poorest of poor during a season of much difficulty in their own lives grew to being able to build an orphanage and have a well dug on site as well as assist in providing basic needs of 50 orphans in Uganda and providing assistance for struggling pastors in India. All of this was an overflow of the blessing of the Lord as they claimed the promise from 2 Corinthians 9:8: "We believe that God is able to bless us abundantly so that in all things, at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work." Until now, only a few close friends and family members have joined in the work, but now they want to grow a team that will make a greater impact in the lives of those who are in desperate need.
